Dining at Steirereck (voted number 10 of the World’s 50 Best restaurants) was unreservedly a bucketlist moment. Around 20 separate dishes were created as part of the set lunch menu at this 2 Michelin Star experience.
My table was opposite what looked like the late celebrated chef Paul Bucose. We were both dining alone and he observed me filming with interest.
He was familiar and warm with all the staff, no matter their seniority. It was only after leaving that I realised it was THE Paul Bucose. What I would have given to have just said hi, had a lovely little chat about life and hear his stories! Grateful for this day at Restaurant Steirereck.
