Opinion: Food Writing

A lot of people ask me how my site is different to other food blogs or websites which feature food writing.

I set out on a mission to find Mumbai (and now Melbourne’s) most delicious dishes at the most interesting restaurants; all of which have one thing in common – fresh, high quality produce, a great vibe and friendly service.

I write about each dish I taste in detail, right from the smell, texture and taste to the flavours. Matt Preston has been a huge influence in the emergence of my food writing chapter.

Some of the restaurants reviewed miss the mark here and there, and I have recorded these experiences both on the website and Zomato.

I genuinely want the best for each restaurant and try to state facts objectively and make suggestions on improvements, as personal attacks benefit noone.

We are all here for one thing – to enjoy delicious food – and we should celebrate this.

I would love to connect with you if you also enjoy food writing, either as a hobby or as a profession. It’d be a fun meal (okay fine, it wouldn’t because we’d all be concentrating too hard on trying to describe flavours).
